We partner with a family of master tea growers in Uji, Kyoto—one of Japan’s most revered matcha regions. Founded in 1836 and now in its fourth generation, the estate still holds true to one simple core belief: great quality can’t be rushed.
For nearly two hundred years, generations of expertise have been passed down, seamlessly blending Uji’s time-honored traditions with modern processing and rigorous quality control. The result? Every single batch meets today's strictest food safety standards while staying completely faithful to the authentic craftsmanship that put Uji tea on the map.

A recognized tradition
Over the years, the family's dedication has been honored with numerous prestigious awards, both in Japan and internationally. Among these are two bronze medals and a silver medal from the Japanese Tea Selection Paris—one of Europe's premier competitions dedicated to fine Japanese tea.
Yet beyond the accolades, select blends from this estate are chosen for use by the Urasenke School in Kyoto, one of the most respected and influential institutions of the traditional Japanese tea ceremony. To us, that speaks louder than any medal ever could.
Nearly two centuries later
Today, nearly two centuries after its founding, the same family continues to cultivate and craft tea in Uji with meticulous care at every step. Generations have passed and modern technology now offers greater precision and safety, but the core philosophy remains unchanged: perfection cannot be rushed.
